JESUS IS THE WAY!

Acts 4:12"... for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved."

A man fell into a hole

Let Jesus get you out of that dirt hole

What can satisfy a thirsty soul, there is no substitutes.

There are many Religions and many ways man can put off Jesus Christ.  There is only One Way, and there is no substitute for our redeemer, that being my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

What can make man get out of that dirt hole?  It is the Lord of Lords and King of Kings.  A must for this day and age. Guess according to Drudge, Antidepressant use doubles in US, study finds.  Use doubles from 13 million to 27 million Americans.  And I thought the problem was mainly our elected officials.  We now have all this technology and there are more depressed people then ever.  Guess it takes more then a Play Station II to fine happiness.  How about trying the Lord Jesus.  Jesus is underrating Use in this department.  When the Spirit is upon me, there is nothing else in this world that can give you a better outlook on life.

 http://www.alertnet.org/thenews/newsdesk/N03411375.htm

This article in Drudge seems to say, the reason is people can’t afford expensive psychotherapy and go with the antipsychotic medications.   I don’t believe the answer is in psychotherapy but let us turn to the neglected Creator

Another form of escapism is the Cult to Celebrity Worship.  Best illustrated by the Michael Jackson hoopla.  This gentleman was a self mutilator and a pedophile.  What business of it to be on the news 24/7

If people stop believing in God, the problem is not that they will then believe in nothing, it's that they'll believe anything."

So the 'cult of celebrity' clearly demonstrates people's deepest need for worship. It also - quite vividly- demonstrates the foolishness which people will immediately be drawn into when modern culture dictates that it is no longer fashionable or 'enlightened' to worship and serve an omnipotent God.

So you give me a little of your time, I want it to count.  Let me get down to brass tax, Jesus is the way my friend, worship Jesus in spirit and truth and He will set you free.  Remember, people are created by God to serve a creator.  Nothing will scratch that itch then Jesus Christ the redeemer King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

In The Light

Still need a Savior

From my friend Dave from E-Cheer;

Big word--

If you can't be kind, at least have the decency to be vague.

How many times in your life have you used the word, "obsequious?"  What?   You mean you've never used it?  Don't feel bad - few people have ever used it, but because of its meaning, it is a shame that it is not a common word within the Christian community.  The word, obsequious, personifies the character of a Christian.  It means servile, compliant, deferential, obedient, dutiful - all words that should describe our relationship with Jesus Christ.  We should all belong to The First Church of Obsequious.

We get all hung up in our church doctrines and differences, when instead we should simply be obsequious followers of Jesus Christ and His teachings instead of following every Tom, Dick and Harry who comes along with an engaging personality and clever "schpiel" - that's PA Dutch for "a usually high-flown talk or speech, esp. for the purpose of luring people."

One of the meaningful hymns the church used to sing was "O to be Like Thee, blessed Redeemer.  This is my constant longing and prayer."  When is the last time you sang searching words like that in your church?  That is an obsequious hymn.  I wish I had time to quote the entire wonderful hymn written by Thomas O. Chisholm.  If you have an old hymnal, look it up.  Sing it on your knees - you'll be a different person when you get up.  If you can't find it, write me - I'll email a copy.

In John 8:12 (nlt), Jesus said, "I am the light of the world.  If you follow me, you won't be stumbling through the darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life."  Count on it.

for better or for worst

One of the best ways to show your light is the institution of Marriage.  You see old people together and one of them says hey babe, let’s kiss and suck some gums together and you think that’s cute?  Anyway Marriage you see is not for our own selfish selves but rather the people around us.  Namely our very own children who we bore into this cruel, darken, and unjust world. Ronald Reagan used to say, “The Bible has all the answers.”  Just the book of Genesis is enough to put the world at odds with its believers. The institution of Marriage is nowadays being made fun and trivialized to the point of pure hatred.  Just the mention of the Word may evoke hate speech and someday be outlawed.

"...And he (the serpent), said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of it neither shall ye touch it lest ye die.  And the serpent said unto the woman Ye shall not surely die" Genisis 3:3,4.  thus installing the poison of doubt of God's Word.

States are making laws for homosexual marriages which has never been tried in the history of the world.  However, the world attacks on the Word are not new, there are nothing progressive about that.  Since the dawn of history Satan has been fighting, twisting, and trying to subdue the Word of God.  But excuse my English, “it ain’t gona happen dude!

“     And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an helpmeet for him.” Genesis 2:18.

Marriage as an institution as I have been saying is not for our own selfish desires; rather it is to propagate, or to make offspring.  Yes, it goes against this present age we live in where if it feels good do it.

                   Interview with an old couple.

If you ask an elderly couple what your success of the longevity they may answer, lots of work.  For a person to get shagged not so very difficult, the easy way out.  I received spam yesterday with and ad for Viagra with the picture of a very homely girl.  Viagra, getting ugly people laid.    So what are you going to do when the pill wears off? Leave the whorehouse?

Let's ask Dave of E-Cheer, the Pope of email his secret, "Patience is counting down without blasting off.

I just read this in Yahoo news - "New research suggests couples view one another as even more irritating and demanding the longer they are together."  Unfortunately, this seems to be happening even with Christian couples.  Betty and I have escaped it, in fact, the longer we are together (60 years in May) the more we enjoy being together.

It seems that personal selfishness is at the heart of the problem.  It's all about me, me, me.  If we should learn anything about Christian principals, it should be that selfishness is not in the Christian's code of conduct.  But even there, selfishness says, "I don't care about the rule book - it inhibits me too much."

Phil 2:3 (nlt) says - "Don't be selfish.  Don't live to make a good impression on others.  Be humble, thinking of others as better than your self."  A selfish person will say, "Aw, baloney!"  A concerned Christian will say, "I need to do that."  We need to examine our life and say, "Which am I?"

I, the Timbo and my wifey-poo are completely different!  We may look like brother and sister but that’s where similarities end. Our marriage requires mucho work.   As far as irreconcilable differences we have them.     I am sort of a recluse.  My wife likes to see the world, meet new people, to have interchange, and talks almost constantly.  I am a man of few words.  I doubt if Harmony.com would have ever put us two together.  You know through Jesus, all things are possible glory be to the Lord.  That just makes little old us shine all the brighter.

How to make a marriage work

Macho-Husband stating his dominance, " I am king of this family and you are nothing and don't you forget it."

Wife to Macho-Husband, "How does it feel to be king over nothing?"

Did I mention work?  Heard it said you each have to contribute 50/50 on your little effort to have a great marriage.  Poppycock!  Each has to give 100%!

So you may ask, hey Mr. Bible School Student, you think your so smart, how do you make a marriage work?  First of all, whatever has two heads is a monster.  So guess what, The man has to be the head. In a subtle way of course.  Can’t be like a Neanderthal and just knock out your wife with your club,  and drag her back into the cave. Got to use a little honey to attract the honeybunnys.

“Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shall bring forth children; and they desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.” Genesis 3:16.

So how do you expect a testosterone laden gent get long with a mood swinging, hormone raging lady?   There has to be God out there folks.  So you have to have one chief and this chief has to love the weaker vessel being the woman like there is no tomorrow.  Is this correct?  (I am only the messenger, so don’t slay me).  So again I am so very popular (just kidding).  Could it be the fear of rejection contribute to the silence of this matter?  So then, let’s have a mosterless family and try to get along.  Through God all things are possible correct?

                                                                                        God's authority

The priest:  Well cheers, looks like we husbands get to be the spiritual head of the family.  To much a grin of the multitudes, we are blessed with the responsibilities of this position no easy task.  Try to make it to church without fighting with each other is our goals of a harmonious relationship.  What a noble goal.

The protector; this includes making sure your girls are not Britney Spears-wana-bees.  The family is protected from intruders, the house you live in or there own lives.  You just can’t leave you child unattended nowadays.  There are some awful demonic souls out there folks.  Make sure the wife has some defenses.  A double barreled shotgun is great for the wifey poo.  Hard to miss any intruder hallelujah!

Prophet:  The Family that prays together or is that plays together.  Anyway James Dobson I think came up with the idea of family alter.  Nice to get away from the media once a day.  Just enjoy some time to pray and read God’s word.  It surely presents a good atmosphere for family bonding.  This could be before the bed or any time of the day.

Provider:  Excuse me lazy Christian,  thank God your not a Moslem.  Infidels get their heads chopped off.  "But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he  hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel." 1 Timothy 5:8

Let's get busy!

And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moves  upon the earth  Gen. 1:28.

I know He isn't talking about being a fruit but making babies.  God forbid the Democrats get in and we are going to have to listen to gay this and gay that rights.  But marriages between two same sex couples cannot be blessed because guess what?  They cannot propagate.  Not to mention the Bibles ideas on Sodomy.  I believe if the state approves gay marriage it only going to cheapen marriage and that is their only agenda.  To make fun of the legitimate act of marriage between a female and a male which seems so basic?  As usual, today as well as down through history God's plan for man has been attacked and ridiculed.

Cops: Man's wedding ring saved his life

Sun Dec 2, 4:14 PM ET

JACKSON, Miss. - Donnie Register has a new reason to be thankful he's married — police say his wedding band deflected a bullet and probably saved his life.

Two men walked into Register's shop at The Antique Market on Saturday and asked to see a coin collection, police Sgt. Jeffery Scott said.

When Register retrieved the collection, one of the men pulled a gun and demanded money. A shot was fired as Register threw up his left hand, and his wedding ring deflected the bullet, police said.

"The bullet managed to go through two of his fingers without severing the bone," said his wife, Darlene Register. "A part of the bullet broke off and is in his middle finger. The other part is in his neck, lodged in the muscle tissue. But it's not life-threatening."

She said she gives God all the credit.

Police were searching for the robbers, who Scott said "stole a substantial amount of cash."

A good wife can bring balance to your life

Happy Marriage

On their 50th wedding anniversary, a couple summed up the reason for their long and happy marriage.

The husband said, "I have tried never to be selfish.  After all, there is no "I" in the word 'marriage.'"'

The wife said,  "For my part, I have never corrected my husband's spelling."

I must be right because I get no confrontations.  If I want confrontation, I go to liberal blogs. http://haloscan.com/comments/pageone/1594/ and debate weird stuff, an oxymoron called gay marriage.   I can say one thing, they're passionate in what they believe.  More so then some of us that happens to have the truth.

Saw the movie Fiddler on the roof and it struck a chord with me.  The main dude from the story is from Russia living in a Jewish clan before the Boslovic Reformation.  I am a fiddelist myself and unless Isaac Stern is out there, I can out fiddle any of you.   Anyway, the main dude always sees this fictitious character fiddling compared to the unsettled persecuted Jews.  A fiddler balancing himself on a roof, and sounding like Isaac Stern was quite an accomplishment.

I am glad be have a bedrock like Christ solid bedrock for our lives as a sure foundation.   1Co 3:11 - Show Context

For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
